Every time I pick up a newspaper, turn on the evening news or use an internet news source, I’m reminded of the sensationalism and bias of the main stream media.
The Ledger ran a story on Wednesday, Sept. 16th headlined “We’re Greatly Humbled”. It explained how the search was on for people lost in the flooding of a ‘polygamous’ town. Who really cares what type of town it is? The story is about a search for survivors.
Without the racial bias of the media, take a stab at these stories and see how you do:
“Armed Neighborhood Watch Captain Shoots Unarmed Teen”
“Convenience Store Robber Shot in Fight Over Police Officer’s Weapon”
“Nine Church Members Killed During Bible Study”
I’ll bet you got them all right. So how about guessing the race of these perpetrators:
The suspect is a white male approximately six feet tall.
The robber is an Hispanic male weighing about one hundred seventy pounds.
The suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt and gray pants.
Did you get all three of them? And then the media totally ignores any mention of race here:
Two NYC Cops Killed in Ambush
Texas Deputy Slain While Pumping Gas.
If you want racial harmony in America don’t expect any help at all from the main stream media.
Why is it that the media cannot just do it's job and report the news without adding their personal bias or some tommy-rot sensationalism to it. Just tell us what the hell happened and let us use our own devices to make an opinion.
