Looks interesting...I heard the author of "Lone Star Rising" in which the show is based on, being interviewd on the radio the other day. He is pretty satisfied with it...Tho he said it was filmed in Durango, Mexico, so the scenery will be a bit different ,And he did say they Hollywooded the show abit.. But I'm looking forward to seeing it. Monday. 8:00 PM central..History Channel.

ok...first episode was enjoyable, but it was definately not the way it happened...Susanna Dickensons party was not attacked by Apaches after the Alamo, And Emily West(who is more legend than anything else) was not there. Goliad and Gonzales look nothing like that. I could go on, But I won't...I did enjoy it as a very fictional account of the events.

not too far into it but they are certainly stretching brendan frasier's "acting" abilities.

Got busy visiting and missed it but hope to catch the rerun this evening. From what I've seen of the commercials it's one of those, "well, it beats watching the view.....". But holding out hope.

LOL..Anything beats watching the view...Really, It's not too bad, Just alot of fiction mixed in the facts. Goliad and Gonzales has grown some new mountains since the last time I visited too. But i enjoyed it for what it is.

Interesting would be the right word..... folks that wrote it sure took a lot of liberties in their telling of the tail...... but it is entertaining. At least there are no colt peace makers or winchester 73.......

But i enjoyed it for what it is. That's like the movie "The Patriot," where in the last scene they are charging through the ruins of a mansion in Cowpens, SC. No such structure ever existed on the actual battlefield, but it looked good for the movie. You can imagine how tired the rangers are of answering the question, "where are the ruins?"
